Secure Media Storage
It’s your information – put security first
Fireproof was the first to bring climate-controlled vaults to central Ohio. Our five climate-controlled vaults exceed the industry standard guidelines for media storage and are designed to safeguard all forms of magnetic and micrographic media under almost any environmental condition.

At Fireproof, your information will be protected by:
- Safe, secure locations. We offer multiple locations for media storage, equipped with 24-hour locks, alarms, and cameras. Vault access is limited to authorized personnel. Police, Fire and Rescue services are located within minutes of each facility.
- Protected environments. Our storage facilities are equipped with temperature and humidity controls specifically designed for media and data protection and state-of-the-art fire suppression systems for added protection.
-
Storage options. For added protection, media and vital information can be stored separately from the information you access on a regular basis.
- Security that exceeds HIPAA, Graham-Leach-Bliley, and Sarbanes-Oxley Standards. Our vaults are constructed to exceed all federal government standards. They are constructed of steel and concrete and built inside our facilities as ‘vaults within vaults’.
-
Stringent employee policies. All Fireproof employees are subject to a background check and drug screen prior to being offered employment. In addition, each employee signs a Confidentiality Agreement as a condition of employment.
Fireproof will help you choose a media storage system designed with your needs in mind.
-
Individually slotted cartridges. Media is placed in open slots, designed and built to visibly, safely and efficiently store media. When media is slotted, Fireproof is responsible for tracking the item numbers clearly identified on the exterior of the media. Clients request this type of media by the individual item number/name.
- Active and archival cases. If a client chooses to store media in a container, the container will be assigned a unique name/number. The client requests retrievals based on the name/number of the container. At this level Fireproof does not know the contents of the container. Individual items (submedia) can be retrieved from containers, upon request.
