We continue our employee feature series, “Who’s Behind the Box,” with Mistie McMillin, Fireproof’s Accounting Coordinator. Follow along to learn more about Mistie.
Mistie McMillin will proudly tell you Fireproof was her first employer—first and only. When she started working at Fireproof at the age of 19, Mistie performed data entry tasks. Now more than a decade later, she knows the ins and outs of the Fireproof business and applies that to her current position as Accounting Coordinator.
History With Fireproof
From her first assignment in data entry, Mistie moved to operations, leading the offsite document management team. It was from that job that she moved into the Accounting Coordinator position.
Mistie’s prime focus is on accounts receivable, collections, internal procedures and disaster recovery. She assists in the administration of policy and procedure within the organization. In 2007 she was awarded the President’s Award, the most prestigious award given to an employee. She also leads the Disaster Recovery Team in planning, implementing and testing Fireproof’s Disaster Recovery Plan.
“We work as efficiently as possible to provide excellent customer service to exceed expectations. We have such a great staff with extensive experience in the document management business. They also have excellent judgment, which helps tremendously in assisting our customers with a wide variety of business needs.
“Over the past 11 years, I have seen the records industry shift from predominantly hardcopy and media storage to a wide array of technical innovations from digital repositories to e-vaulting. Fireproof has been at the forefront in leading and managing these shifts.”
