Sliders Remain Steady

Last week our CEO, Mike James, and several other Fireproof executive managers attended a meeting for the Columbus Metropolitan Club. The keynote speaker for this particular presentation was E.W. “Bill” Ingram III, President and CEO of White Castle Systems. The staff at Fireproof thought the presentation was moving, insightful, and had many similarities to Fireproof’s culture and track record as an established company.

Here are some of the similarities our team noted after the presentation:

Internal Promotions

• We both try to promote from within the organization.

Diversified Product Offerings

• White Castle Systems produces other products, i.e. fertilizer spreaders.

• Fireproof offers document imaging, records management, data protection, disaster recovery services and certified destruction.

Family Business

• Both companies are family owned entities, and understand the trials and tribulations that come with running a family business.

Listen and Learn

• Ingram participated in the TV series “Undercover Boss”, and has since made changes after listening to employees’ input.

• Fireproof listens to our employee and client ideas, needs and concerns. This allows us to grow as a company, always providing excellent customer service and keeping our internal and external audiences satisfied. (Mike is doubtful he could head to one of Fireproof’s four warehouses undercover; however, as most of our 120 employees know all too well who Mike James is!)

Giving Back

• Both organizations donate time and money to our local communities as well as national non-profit organizations.
